History of the Future Film: Westworld

Event Details

This summer we’re proud to present a film series examining gripping cinematic visions of the future emanating from different moments in recent history. Join us at FilmBar in Downtown Phoenix on the last Thursday of every month this summer, May through August, for The History of The Future: a series of delightfully schlocky, thought-provoking films paired with smart conversation from big thinkers and experts.

On May 26, we’ll be screening 1973’s Westworld, written and directed by Michael Crichton. In the film, a robot malfunction creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic amusement park.

Each History of the Future event begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $6 apiece, and include your first drink free. Buy tickets today!

Other History of the Future film events will take place at Filmbar on June 30 (Outland), July 28 (The Lawnmower Man), and August 25 (Equilibrium)
