Join ASU’s Center for Science and the Imagination in partnership with Majestic Neighborhood Cinema in Tempe to view The Fifth Element (1997) on the silver screen. This screening is part of a greater film series: History of the Future, exploring gripping, cinematic visions of the future across the past five decades.
Join us Wednesday, February 18th at 7 p.m and drive into the far-flung megalopolis with Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis) as the cosmos come into close contact to prevent the rise of Zorg (Gary Oldman)!
This film will be presented by Kyle Law. Kyle is a social psychologist working at the intersection of moral psychology and ethical philosophy trying to better understand the outer limits of human cooperation and prosocial behavior. In particular, his research focuses on mapping the cognitive, affective, and moral architecture of exceptional altruism, driven by an underlying motivation to harness insights gleaned from the laboratory to help inspire real-world action. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the IDEA Lab!
Tickets are $8.00, plus applicable taxes and service charges. A limited number of free tickets for ASU students are available on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of your Imaginary Friends at CSI.
