Join ASU’s Center for Science and the Imagination in partnership with Majestic Neighborhood Cinema in Tempe to witness Mars Attacks! (1996). This screening is part of a greater film series: History of the Future, exploring gripping, cinematic visions of the future across the past five decades.
This film will be introduced by Steve Desch, a Professor of Astrophysics in the School of Earth and Space Exploration. Desch studies meteorites and planet formation, and currently leads a NASA-funded project to predict chemical abundances on rocky exoplanets. He even has an asteroid named for him, Asteroid 9926 Desch!
Tickets are $8.00, plus applicable taxes and service charges. A limited number of free tickets for ASU students are available on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of your Imaginary Friends at CSI.
