Join ASU’s Center for Science and the Imagination in partnership with Majestic Neighborhood Cinema in Tempe to view Moon (2009) on the silver screen. This screening is part of a greater film series: History of the Future, exploring gripping, cinematic visions of the future across the past five decades.
Join us Wednesday, February 25th at 7 p.m and delve into a mysterious spiral with astronaut Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) as the very bounds of his existence are questioned, thrusting him into a battle against the system in order to figure out what’s true and what’s original.
This film will be introduced by Dr. Craig Hardgrove, the principal investigator of the LunaH-map mission and SINGR (Single Scintillator Neutron and Gamma-Ray Spectrometer) and associate professor at the School of Earth and Space Exploration. Dr. Hardgrove has worked on a number of Mars-related research and has been involved in the development of rovers, nanosatellites, and geochemistry detection!
Tickets are $8.00, plus applicable taxes and service charges. A limited number of free tickets for ASU students are available on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of your Imaginary Friends at CSI.
