On October 2, 2014, in Washington, DC, Future Tense (a collaboration among ASU, the New America Foundation, and Slate) and Issues in Science and Technology co-hosted an event inspired by Project Hieroglyph, “Can We Imagine Our Way to a Better Future?”
The event featured a number of Hieroglyph science fiction authors in conversation with legal scholars, policy wonks, journalists, representatives from DARPA, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, entertainment industry storytellers from Futurama and the SyFy Channel, and other experts.
