There is no denying that James Cameron created a fantastic world in his award-winning film Avatar. With magnificent animals, blinding colors and bioluminescent tree spirits, it is hard to believe these elements could possibly exist here on Earth… right?
Antony Evans, a San Franciscan entrepreneur, wants to prove otherwise. Evans has recently teamed up with Omri Amirav-Drory and Kyle Taylor in order to create genetically engineered plants that will glow in the dark. If the team can successfully alter the genes of the Arabidopsis thaliana plant, these plant lights could one day replace electric street lamps.
