Admit it. At some point in your life, you’ve wished you had a device that would dispense freshly made food at the press of a button. Though this seems like a far-fetched concept, we might already have the technology to create this miraculous device.
In an astronomical improvement on the Easy-Bake Oven, recent experiments with 3D printers involve the ability to print edible food using specialized ingredients. Anjan Contractor, an engineer from SMRC who originally presented the concept in May 2013 at the Humans 2 Mars summit, says the plan is to provide food for astronauts on long space expeditions.
