Dr. Zoyander Street (they/them) is a neuroqueer and disabled writer, researcher, and digital artist. They live and work in the “People’s Republic of South Yorkshire,” England, creating interactive media based on social and historical research. They like to cross disciplinary boundaries, such as making live theatre with game-like interaction, or videogames for gallery spaces. Zoyander has a PhD by practice in Sociology from Lancaster University, submitting original videogames alongside a traditional dissertation. They are currently developing an ambitious multi-year project called Intrapology, an interactive online neuroqueer sci-fi series about alien anthropologists. They organized the Pandemics and Games Essay Jam with the Center for Science and the Imagination and Critical Distance and coedited the resulting book, Sickness, Systems, Solidarity, and contributed a chapter to CSI’s book Imagining Transmedia, published by the MIT Press in 2024.
