CSI Skill Tree: 80 Days (Online)

Event Details

CSI Skill Tree is a new series that examines and celebrates how video games envision possible futures, build rich and thought-provoking worlds, and engage people as active participants in unfolding and interpreting stories.

For our fourth event, we’ll explore how video games represent Africa and Africans, through the lens of 80 Days, an alternate-history adaptation of Jules Verne’s 1872 novel Around the World in Eighty Days and Time magazine’s game of the year for 2014.

Our special guest is Deji Bryce Olukotun, author of the novels Nigerians in Space and After the Flare, winner of the Philip K. Dick Special Citation, and a fellow at Future Tense and CSI’s Imaginary College.

The event will be broadcast live on Zoom—register today!
