History of the Future: Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior

Join ASU’s Center for Science and the Imagination in partnership with Majestic Neighborhood Cinema in Tempe to view Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior on the silver screen. This screening is part of a greater film series: The History of the Future, exploring gripping, cinematic visions of the future across the past four decades. 

Rev up for an adrenaline-fueled night on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. for a theatrical screening of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. This gripping sequel, originally released in 1981, unfolds in the unforgiving Australian Outback, where Max battles to protect the precious lifeblood of the future: Gasoline. Join us on a relentless journey through the post-apocalyptic wasteland and witness the ultimate showdown for survival in a world gone mad.

Join us for an enlightening prelude to Mad Max 2, presented by Dr. Lauren Keeler. Listen as Dr. Keeler will guide the audience into the visionary world of Mad Max 2 and its portrayal of the communities in the future.

Tickets are $8.00, plus applicable taxes and service charges. A limited number of free tickets for ASU students are available on a first-come, first-served basis, courtesy of your Imaginary Friends at CSI. Stop by Memorial Union on ASU Campus on March 25th and 26th to get one! You must be a currently enrolled ASU student and have an @asu.edu email address to claim a free ticket.
