Us in Flux is a new series of short stories and virtual gatherings that explore themes of community, collaboration, and collective imagination in response to transformative events. About the Speakers:

Tina Connolly is the author of the Ironskin trilogy from Tor Books and the Seriously Wicked series from Tor Teen. Her stories and novels have been finalists for the Hugo, Nebula, Norton, Locus, and World Fantasy awards. She is one of the co-hosts of Escape Pod, and runs the Parsec-winning flash fiction podcast Toasted Cake.

Dennis Bonilla is the Chief Technology Officer for Baltu Technologies. At Baltu, Mr. Bonilla oversees the development of future-of-work applications for rapidly upskilling people using immersive tech. With 20 years of experience, Dennis has helped create data visualization software and decision support systems for NASA and other U.S. agencies and has served in roles supporting committees advising U.S. President Barack Obama about options for future human space flight. Mr. Bonilla serves as adjunct faculty at Arizona State University informing students how to develop video games and interactive systems to create joy, develop community, and better understand the world around them. Dennis regularly collaborates with cutting edge companies and university research labs as a technology subject matter expert.

Mr. Bonilla has spoken on space, science, and tech at SXSWi, IGN HQ, Phoenix Comicon, the ONA Annual Conference, and Star Wars Celebration. Dennis also co-hosts the popular Phoenix VR For Good Meetup.
