Our world is filled with heroes. Without the aid of superpowers, firefighters and police officers do everything they can to keep us safe on a daily basis. But what do we do when the situations are just too dangerous? That is where the US Department of Defense’s research agency, DARPA, comes in.
This year, DARPA has organized a challenge to create the next line of emergency response robots. Atlas, DARPA’s most recent creation, was put to the test in the Robotics Challenge hosted by Boston Dynamics earlier this month.
