While watching your favorite sci-fi flick, you notice the cyborg hero using his robotic eye to zoom in on the scene and track the villain. You think to yourself, “How long do I have to wait to have such incredible abilities?” The answer may be closer than you think.
Researchers in California and Switzerland have already designed a prototype for a telescopic contact lens. This lens, when outfitted with a special pair of 3-D glasses, will allow the wearer to magnify their vision up to 2.8 times.
