Communication and Public Engagement Strategist
Bob is a Marine Corps veteran and double alumnus of Arizona State University with a master’s degree in Communication Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Humanities. Prior to joining the Center for Science and the Imagination, Bob worked in the media industry with stints at CBS Radio, Village Voice Media, and most recently PBS, where he developed national brand, content, and outreach strategies.
Bob’s research interests focus on performance, identity and authenticity in fandoms and communities of practice. He has spoken at TEDx Phoenix, the Arizona SciTech festival, Phoenix Comicon, and the PBS Annual Meeting, the nation’s largest gathering of public television professionals.
